MULTIPLE AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMP & UNDERFLOOR HEATING INSTALLATIONS FOR LORRY WORKSHOP & OFFICES

Our original remit was for a Ground Source Heat Pump & bore holes. Ground conditions were too unstable for drilling, and drilling was too costly so therefore untenable.

We installed multiple Air Source Heat Pumps, linked together to create one whole heating system.

We installed Underfloor Heating, laid directly to the surface of the insulation, beneath a 600mm thick concrete slab. This created a huge thermal store that benefits re-heating of the workshop when doors are left open for long periods of time. The workshop area is on a separate shunt controlled zone from the rest of the heating system, and runs at a lower flow temperature to maximise overall efficiency of the system.

A four pipe heating and cooling circuit was run to combined Heating & Cooling fan coil modules. The single Nibe SM040 controller links all the five outdoor units, and equals out the load duty for each Heat Pump. It will only run the number of heat pumps required to heat the building at any given time, therefore maximising system efficiencies even further.
